A couple of weeks back, I photographed the Great Fosters wedding of Jess and Chris in Surrey. This was the first time that I had photographed at this venue and very beautiful it was too. I arrived early to take a look around and get my bearings. The photographic possibilities of Great Fosters are many and varied. The hotel dates back to around 1550 when it was first used as a royal hunting lodge and is set in 50 acres of countryside.
It was also one of those times where I hadn’t met the couple but Jess and Chris were a joy to work with. The wedding had a relaxed and friendly feel, which was probably due to the friends and guests who were all very welcoming. Friends had been asked to provide their own home-made wedding cakes which were all put on display and a prize was awarded during the speeches to the best cake-maker (honours went to Ali). This was a great idea that I had not come across before.
