I was the Cripps Barn wedding photographer for Anna and Rob. This is part two of the blog post for their wedding that took place just before last Christmas.
Weather-wise, it was one of those nasty days with rain and wind all day. Hats off to Anna and Rob who were happy to take a few moments out under an umbrella to get some pics together. I suppose it’s one of those plus points with photographing weddings in that, on the wedding day, if it rains, you’re not going to be out in it for too long. Usually it’s just a case of getting from A to B, the car to the church etc. If it’s raining, this is something that is done hurredly; skimpy dresses, high heels and fascinators are no lovers of the wet. Which in turn means I have to spend very little time outdoors when it’s raining. Unlike years ago when I photographed sport, you were out in all weathers. Sitting around the side of a football pitch, if it rained, you got wet and your gear got wet. Not much fun.
Anna and Rob’s wedding at Cripps Barn had great atmosphere. This was mainly due to the guests who were a good lively bunch…and good looking too. When I posted the first part of the blog, someone wrote on my Facebook Page “And what’s with all the beautiful people? Were none of their ugly friends allowed to attend?”. This did make me laugh.

I was lucky enough to get Anna and Rob’s wedding after photographing the lovely couple Jess and Chris (above) at their wedding last April at Great Fosters in Surrey. You can see some of their pictures here Jess and Chris’s wedding photography at Great Fosters
