Being based in West Kent, a lot of my weddings are in the South East, the London area and further ‘up’ the UK.
The South coast has ample photographers to cover this area so I don’t get the chance to go down that way too often, so I was really looking forward to being Katie and John’s wedding photographer in Hove.

After leaving Katie at the house for the bridal prep shots, I arrived at St Peter’s Church West Blatchington to find John had arrived in Del Boy’s three wheel van. With ‘Only Fools And Horses’ being such a well loved program, the car is a real head-turner. It also made for a nice shot when the Rolls Royce pulled up along side for Katie’s entrance.
After the ceremony, the guests congregated in front of West Blatchington Windmill (which is right outside the church) to throw confetti.
Katie and John then left (in the Rolls, not the Robin Reliant) and headed to the seafront to get some photos by the colourful beach huts. As brave as Katie was, the wind was up and the poor lass was getting a bit of a battering. We only managed a couple of minutes before heading off to Blagdons Manor where the reception was taking place.
Katie had put in so much effort into making the place look great. Everything from miles of bunting to flip flops for everyone.
I have to say that Katie and John were a joy to work for and everyone was very welcoming on the day.
I recently received a lovely card from them, which reads, “Just a quick note to say thank you so much for our amazing wedding photos and beautiful album. On the day you really put us at ease and managed to capture all the moments we enjoyed or would have missed which was just what we wanted. We will enjoy showing off the pictures for years to come.”
