Sarah and Darryl’s Boughton Monchelsea Place wedding was a great one to photograph. I knew a few of the guests and had also photographed Darryl’s sister’s wedding a couple of years back.
Boughton Monchelsea Place is a privately owned 16th century manor house with fantastic views stretching for miles and even it’s own deer park below.
Sarah looked lovely and was walked down the aisle by her brother. The photo position for the ceremony was fairly fixed. You either stay down the back and shoot up the aisle or stand behind the registrar in a fairly small doorway opening. This was good for the head-on shots and seeing the ceremony unfold. However, it does make the view a little restricted with no wriggle room at all and a registrar that stood right in the way.
The outside space with the amazing views was great for the guests to enjoy the drinks reception and there’s lovely secluded gardens at the back where I got a few shots of Sarah and Darryl.
The meal and evening reception was held at The Mulberry Tree restaurant, just a short drive for the venue.
