A gallery of images from a wedding at The Beacon Tunbridge Wells.
The Beacon is situated down Tea Garden Lane on the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells, just into Rusthall. It's tucked away down there. Nothing quite prepares you for the views out the back. Wow, they are amazing and you can see for miles. It's like a countryside retreat - all seventeen acres of it.
The Beacon is part of the I'll Be Mother group of restaurants that also include The Twenty Six, The Swan, Mother Love Events Kitchen and the Mother Truck street kitchen.
The Beacon is licensed to hold wedding ceremonies in the restaurant and the sun terraces are used for the drinks reception. Down the steps to the gardens below, there are lawns where games of croquet can be played. Further down are wooded areas and lakes at the bottom. In the Summertime, a bank of purple foxgloves makes for a great photographic backdrop.
Then in the evening, the terrace outside is the perfect place to watch the sun go down. Guests can warm themselves around a big fire pit. Fabulous food is served from the Mother Truck, an old grey 1940s Citroen H van.
