Gravetye Manor

A gallery of my Gravetye Manor wedding photographs. I love coming here and I am one of the recommended photographers at Gravetye Manor.

This is a really beautiful venue which was the home of the innovative gardener and botanist William Robinson. It was at Gravetye that he experimented with and developed the English natural garden. He made his fortune writing about his ideas and discoveries in horticulture.

So it goes without saying that the gardens are quite something and provide an atmospheric backdrop for your wedding photographs.

The elegant Manor is now a luxurious country house hotel with an impressive restaurant. During the summer months the one acre oval walled garden supplies 95% of the fruit and vegetables used in the kitchen.

Photographically, it really is a great place to work. The bridal preparation suite is spacious, light and airy. The ceremony room has lots of light coming in where the couple stand. Their guests can be shown in the seating behind. When the weather is good, everybody tends to go out to the gardens which are always stunning. It feels sheltered due to the way the planting has been done but there are views over the valley too.

It is a great place to get some couple shots away from your guests. There are many routes that can be taken for a walk around the gardens.

The bar area is always a central point at any wedding and this one looks out on to the gardens. There always seems to be a roaring fire in the lounge at a Gravetye Manor wedding. This area gets used as a relaxing space when the evening entertainment is taking place along the corridor.
