In the last post, I blogged some pictures from Cooden Beach in the afternoon around the time the sea fog rolled in and everything went a little eerie.
Later on in the day, the fog lifted and the evening light was amazing. I photographed my kids playing with Barney, our dog, at the edge of the sea. They had great fun skimming stones, throwing balls into the sea for Barney and managed to catch some shrimps which were later cooked up beside the beach hut. As the day went on the sea got calmer and calmer. On the horizon, the sky took on a magenta hue and a little later the sunset was an explosion of warm tones.
The RAW files were pretty zingy to start with with just a bit of contrast going in the give a bit of definition and a bit of vibrance added to bring out the magenta tones in the evening light across the sea.
For me, there’s no better way to spend a Sunday.
